What is Underfloor Heating?

Underfloor heating works by pumping a controlled flow of warm water through plastic tubing embedded in the floor. Because the emitting area is large, sufficient warmth is provided even on a cold winter day with no need for supplementary heating, each room has its own circuit so it is a simple process to apply room-by-room temperature control.

Benefits of using Underfloor Heating.

Underfloor heating is simply more comfortable and saves energy, ask anyone who has had it installed. Traditional radiators create warmth by drawing cold air across our feet and convecting it towards the ceiling, leaving the floor space quite cool, and the ceiling holding a majority of the warmth, when the opposite is more comfortable.

Radiant heat which is produced with underfloor heating is a natural type of heat; in fact the sun heats us in the same way. The heat is concentrated where we need it, where we sit and stand, with the floor normally being 2 degrees higher than the ceiling, which is a natural feel, our feet being slightly warmer than our head.
